The reset is short and crisp with good spring tension pulling the trigger back through the reset. However, I found the trigger pull to be smooth with a crisp, consistent break. It came out to 7 pounds, 10 ounces with a Lyman trigger-pull gauge, which is significantly heavier than many pistols in its class. The trigger of the CZ P-10M immediately struck me as heavy. The 7-round magazine of the CZ P-10M is staggered, allowing the grip to be thinner at the top. I also find the factory sights on the P-10M better than those on the G43/43X. The P-10M also features a large and roomy trigger guard and something the G43X doesn’t have: a slotted accessory rail. The P-10M’s total capacity of eight rounds is edged out by the G43X’s capacity of 11 rounds, but it’s impressive considering the contours and slenderness of the grip. The CZ P-10M features a staggered magazine-wider than single-stack, but not fully double-stack-that holds seven rounds. The humped grip has an angle similar to the G43X and both give the shooter a grip that’s close to the bore axis. The P-10M is very close to the G43 and G43X in size, but slightly smaller in length, height, and width. The most notable pistol to compare the CZ P-10M with is the Glock G43X. Compared to a common compact pistol like the Glock G19, the grip of the P-10M feels exceptionally nimble. Compared to many other micro 9mm pistols, the P-10M’s grip feels petite or even dainty-something shooters with smaller hands might appreciate. On this scale, small differences in size and shape can make big differences in fit and feel. Front-to-back, the P-10M’s grip measures 1.75 inches and the Kimber measures 1.85 inches. My Kimber Micro 9 has the same capacity and the thinnest portion of its grip is 1.07 inches wide. At its widest point, the P-10M’s grip measures 1.02 inches, but is only. Even within the wide field of micro-compact 9mm pistols, it’s notably skinny. That thinness, combined with the G43’s slightly longer grip, made it easier to get a grip and definitely easier to conceal. The ergonomics and shape of the CZ P-10M are like those of the larger P-series pistols, but the P-10M’s grip is dramatically slimmed down. The G43 had almost the same barrel length, but its width was almost exactly 0.24 inches thinner than the G26. They even converted quite a few G26 owners. Glock got on board in 2015 when they released the Glock 43 and, in doing so, took the market by storm. While it wasn’t the first single stack 9mm to come to market, it was the pivotal model to usher in the new era of conceal carry pistols. In 2012, Smith & Wesson introduced the M&P Shield. It was a bit snappy given the short barrel paired with the short grip, and many shooters found it tough to get a full-handed purchase on the gun. But contrary to Glock’s slogan, the G26 wasn’t exactly perfection. Compact and capable, it held 10+1 rounds and could accept higher capacity mags from the Glock 19 and Glock 17 to bring that round count to 15+1 or 17+1 respectively. If you look back several years, the reigning champ of concealed carry options was the Glock 26. The Glock 43X was Glock's answer to the arrival of the micro-compact double-stack pistols.
